US drone attacks creating problems: ISPR spokesman

Daily Times Monitor

LAHORE: ISPR spokesman Major General Athar Abbas has said the US drone attacks are creating problems for the Pakistani government and army, a private TV channel reported on Friday.

Major Abbas told CNN that Pakistan Army was taking action against militants but the drone attacks were increasing the difficulties of the army in carrying out its offensives against the Taliban.

He said the drone attacks did not help the army's efforts, as it was trying to wean away the tribes at large from the militant components but the drone attacks had diminished that dividing line.
