LARKANA: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that international community cannot remain silent over the occupation of held Kashmir by more than 500,000 Indian armed forces and urges it to stop perpetual atrocities against the innocent Kashmiris. In his message on the eve of the Black Day being observed by Kashmiris in Pakistan and the world over to mark the day Indian forces occupied the Held Kashmir 71 years ago, the PPP chairman said that more than 70,000 Kashmiris had been killed by Indian forces during their struggle for right to self-determination. Bilawal further said that people of Pakistan had an emotional, spiritual and historic bond with Kashmiri and its people. “Our moral and diplomatic support for Kashmiris shall continue till achieving their right to self-determination,” he added. He expressed complete solidarity with the Kashmiri people and said that the PPP would always be at the forefront at every available forum to raise voice for them. Separately, a delegation of notables from minority communities of Larkana district called on the Bilawal at Naudero House and apprised him of their grievances and problems. Taking notice of the complaints of encroachment on their houses and worship places, the PPP chairman directed the former Sindh home minister and MPA Suhail Anwar Siyal to ensure that such encroachments be removed immediately. Bilawal also stressed that 5% job quota reserved in the government jobs should be implemented in letter and spirit. He said that previous PPP government had launched Benazir Income Support Programme to reduce poverty and unemployment but PTI and PML-N were dragging the people below the poverty line through their anti-people policies. The PPP chairman further said that providing employment to the jobless youth was the top priority of the PPP, adding that despite paucity of funds the Sindh government had initiated Union Council Based Poverty Reduction Programme (UCBPRP), which would be implemented in Larkana soon.
