LAHORE: Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Sunday met Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri where he announced his complete support to the latter over the Model Town incident. Meeting the PAT chief at his residence in Model Town, Rasheed was apprised on the Justice Baqir Najfi’s inquiry report by Tahirul Qadri as the AML chief expressed complete solidarity with him. Sheikh Rasheed said while talking to the media after the meeting that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s entire family would soon be completely out of politics as all of the government will have been over by March 30. He said that all the parties were now united against the ruling Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N). Sheikh Rasheed also supported PAT’s demand for the resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the provincial law minister Rana Sanaullah in view of the Model Town inquiry report released earlier this week. It is pertinent to mention here that the two major parties of the opposition i.e. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have already expressed support for the PAT demand.
