LAHORE: Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed upon his return from Qatar alleged that premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been Nawaz Sharif’s partner in the corruption that has been done in the past 15 years, amounting up to 200 billion in Rupees. Rasheed was talking to media after he returned from Qatar on Tuesday, he said that International funding organizations like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank have refused to receive Finance Minister Ishaq Dar adding that he will make one last effort to raise the issue of Hudaibiya Paper Mills case via his counsel Dr Farogh Naseem and get the related authorities to investigate the issue. He said that he will put the newly appointed National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chief Javed Iqbal to test with a 200 billion Rupee case, while stating that he would reveal the details of the Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) agreement between Qatar after his investigation is completed. he added that he had to embark on a 3 nation journey just to get all the paper-work and documents regarding the deal. Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed stated that a disqualified individual is making the laws of the country and threatening other people and taking up an aggressive stance against the judiciary and the army. The AML Chief said if things continue to head in this direction, then a revolution is the only outcome as Shehbaz Sharif has said, and the revolution Rasheed said ‘would begin from Shehbaz’s own residence’. He said that Sharif family, the so-called champions of democracy had become a great threat to democracy and they were doing everything in their power to destabilize the country and cause chaos and conflict.
