KHUZDAR: At least 144 militants including 16 commanders belonging to banned militant organisations on Monday surrendered pledging to remain loyal to Pakistan. While addressing a press conference, commander of banned militant organisation Lashkar-e-Balochistan Mahar Ullah said that the so-called freedom fight was a self-deception as their leadership lived a luxurious life abroad. He said that their so-called militant leaders were leading in comfort in foreign countries while misguiding the Baloch youth in the name of so-called freedom fight. Kalat Commissioner Dr Muhammad Akbar Harifal, Khuzdar Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Saleem, Awaran Deputy Commissioner Masood Rind, Washuk Deputy Commissioner Salahuddin Noorzai and tribal and political leaders were present on the occasion. Mahar Ullah said that they along with their all associates are joining the national mainstream. He said, “We apologise to those families whose beloved ones were martyred by militants”, adding that, “Pakistan is our homeland and we will work for its development”. He claimed that India and Israel had been funding the militant organisations in Balochistan. Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) Commander Eid Muhammad Alias Sana said that he is the cousin of Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) militant leader Dr Allah Nazar. He said, “Both the BLA and BLF have committed atrocities on people to protect the personal interests and gains of their leaders”. He announced that he and his associates would remain loyal to Pakistan. BLF Commander Niaz Muhammad Alias Dada said, “I would like to tell the Baloch people that the so-called freedom fight is only a deception. The militant organisations are harming the interests of the people of Balochistan”.
