Pakistan International Airline’s (PIA) post-Hajj operation from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan will commence from Monday onwards.
Among the first post-Hajj flights is Karachi bound PK3006 and Islamabad bound PK3002. These flights will bring back more than 700 pilgrims from Saudi Arabia by Monday evening. However, the first post hajj flight to Lahore will arrive at 6 am on August 28 (Tuesday)
The pilgrims of first post- Hajj flight PK 3006 will be flown home by PIA Flight Operations Chief Captain Uzair Khan who is also overseeing the Post Hajj Operation. PK3006 will arrive in evening at Jinnah International Airport whereas PK 3002 will arrive in the evening at New Islamabad International Airport.
PIA will operate 225 flights from Saudi Arabia. This includes both regularly scheduled flights and flights from Madinah and Jeddah through Hajj. PIA President Musharraf Rasool Cyan instructed PIA officials and hajj team members to provide full support and assistance to the returning pilgrims.
PIA will bring back more than 68,000 pilgrims through Hajj and regularly scheduled flights from Jeddah and Madinah to Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, Sialkot, Multan and Faisalabad stations. The post-Hajj operation will conclude on September 25.
