SUKKUR: Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah on Monday said that the ‘government does not exist anymore’. “A grand alliance is created each time elections are held,” Shah said, adding that the PPP won’t support a unity government. He further said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) wanted elections to be held on time and the government to complete its tenure. Earlier, the ruling party – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) – attempted to approach the PPP in light of the delimitation bill that was to be presented in the Senate. According to a statement by Shah, the PML-N had approached him through Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai, the government’s ally. “Achakzai requested for our (PPP’s) support on the delimitation bill,” he said. He also said that his party did not believe in any ‘undemocratic and unconstitutional’ process. Published in Daily Times, November 28th 2017.
