CHARSADDA: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq has said that the Dawn leaks was not an issue between two institutions, it was an issue of national security and the nation must know who was responsible for the entire incident. Talking to the media at Charsadda on Saturday, he said that this was not an issue that could be hushed up by a few people in closed door meetings and the masses still wanted to know the culprit. He said that secret meeting of Indian industrialist Jindal with Nawaz Sharif at a time when Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) spy Kulbushan was in jail and had been sentenced to death and India had approach the international court of justice for his release, raised many questions. He said that New Delhi was busy in propaganda against this country and the obvious objective of Jindal’s meeting with Nawaz Sharif was backdoor diplomacy for Kulbushan’s release. Siraj said that the present tension of the country with Iran and Afghanistan was the result of a failed foreign policy and it was New Delhi’s success. He said that as Pakistan had no foreign minister since long, its relations with other states were bound to be affected. He said that a parliamentary delegation headed by National Assembly (NA) Speaker Ayaz Sadiq had visited Afghanistan but there had been untoward happenings since then. It was obvious that Islamabad did not have the skill to have good relations with neighbouring states. He also condemned unprovoked firing from Indian side at the Line of Control (LoC) resulting in several casualties. He said that such incidents were intolerable as India was constantly targeting innocent people at the LoC. The JI chief said that the rulers had been in power for four years but they had given nothing to the masses except price spiral, load shedding, unemployment and lawlessness. He said that all over the world there were special relief packages on the occasion of religious festivals but unfortunately in this country prices of the food stuff were raised much before the advent of the holy month of Ramazan. He demanded that special relief packages be announced for Ramazan. Meanwhile, Siraj has strongly condemned the firing on the workers at Gwadar causing several deaths. Expressing grief over the deaths of workers, he said that the hostile forces wanted to sabotage the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said that the firings at Mastung and Gwadar were the enemy activity. He prayed for those martyred in the firing and for the early recovery of the injured. The JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch has also condemned the firing on workers at Gwadar.
