AMSTERDAM: Dutch starlet Justin Kluivert has continued to follow in the footsteps of his father, Patrick, and has signed a professional contract with Ajax. Also excelling on the left flank, the 16-year-old attacker has represented the Netherlands U-15 and U-17 sides and has been part of the Amsterdam outfit’s youth system since he was young boy. Meanwhile, the Dutch outfit are looking for the youngster to emulate his dad as best as possible. The elder Kluivert, who scored 39 times in 70 matches during his time with the Dutch giants, converted Ajax’s game-winning goal in the 1995 Champions League final against AC Milan. In 1997, the Netherlands icon departed his home country for the Rossoneri and eventually played for the likes of Barcelona, Newcastle United, Valencia, PSV Eindhoven, and Lille. While the 16-year-old certainly has a long way to go before he achieves similar accolades, he can at least look to his father as an ideal role model.
