LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq Sunday said that the Panama leaks had exposed the corrupt leaders. Speaking at the Alkhidmat Foundation, the JI chief said that no initiative was taken for the elimination of corruption. He said that the government hiked the prices of edibles ahead of Ramadan. Criticising the federal budget, he said that there was nothing for the development of a common man and not a single step was mentioned to eliminate corruption. “The rich is getting richer and the poor is getting poorer in Pakistan. Corruption and Pakistan cannot go together, he asserted. The JI chief demands to bring to book the corrupt leaders and award them punishment they deserve.
