Karachi: Acting President Mian Raza Rabbani has said that the foreign leading footballers arrival in Pakistan will portray it’s positive image in the world. He said that football is the popular game of poor, its for the hardworking and those who live in slum areas of the country. He stated this while addressing the Leisure Leagues’ final player ceremony held at a local hotel. When the world will see that leading players from around the globe are coming here to play the game of football not only in Karachi but also in Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar , it would put a good impact on the image of our country. The Acting President said that Pakistan has an ocean of football talent especially in Lyari like other parts of the country but they did not get the encouragement which they deserve. Rabbani said, “This remains a neglected sport,” they were invisible people in our society the poor, hardworking and living in slum areas, but they are in fact Pakistanis. Pakistan is second to none in the field of football and hockey games. The arrival of football sport in the country will be a good omen in the current circumstances. On the occasion, the former President and Prime Minister Mohammed Mian Soomro during vote of thanks said that with his prays of all, the event will bear fruit. In the end, the Acting President unveiled the photo of final player legend John Terry, Chelsea Captain.
