DERA GHAZI KHAN: Rangers claimed to have gunned-down five alleged terrorists, while rounding up seven suspected persons during search operations in different areas of Dera Ghazi Khan Area. On a tip-off, the Rangers personnel raided hideouts in Dera Ghazi Khan area on Friday morning, where the terrorists started firing the raiding party. The Rangers retaliated and shot dead five alleged terrorists. Meanwhile, Rangers personnel also apprehended seven suspected persons. Rangers also recovered huge cache of weapons and explosives from the area which were hidden in various caves. The suspected persons have been shifted to undisclosed location for further investigation. Punjab Rangers Director General Maj Gen Azhar Naveed Hayat Khan on Friday visited Dera Ghazi Khan wherein he was given briefing about the operation. He lauded the courage and high morale of Jawans and directed them to utilise all available resources to fight terrorism.
