SUKKUR: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Tuesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s manifesto aims to defame politics. “PTI and PML-N share a similar manifesto and that is to ridicule politics. Nawaz league has opted to use curse words in their rallies, while Imran Khan’s manifesto is to ridicule others,” Khursheed Shah said while speaking to media in Sukkur. Taking jabs at Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government’s Billion Tree Tsunami Project, Shah said that the PTI-led tree project was a ‘smokescreen’. He added that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government’s tree plantation in Sindh was recognised by Guinness Book team. “It seems as if Imran planted the trees in the air, since that is why the Guinness Book team could not see them,” he added. Upon a question regarding PML-N disgruntled leader Nisar Ali Khan, Khursheed said that he had told former prime minister Nawaz Sharif ‘to be careful’. “I had told Nawaz to be careful. Nisar should reconsider his choice of words. A leader is a leader, even for a day, and should be respected,” the opposition leader added. He also criticised PTI’s ‘undemocratic’ claim of owning the right to instate the opposition leader in Senate.
