LAHORE: Punjab Pakistan Rangers and Intelligence Agencies carried out a joint operation against wanted terrorists and their facilitators killing five terrorists early Sunday, meanwhile one ranger also embraced martyrdom during the operation. The hardened criminals were holed up in a hideout in Chhera Thal, in the border belt of DG Khan. According to reports around five terrorists were killed and two were apprehended in the operation. Pakistan Rangers Sepoy Kamran embraced martyrdom, while DSR Haroon sustained injuries and was taken to CMH Multan via an army helicopter. The operation is still continuing to flush the area of terrorists who were involved in heinous crimes including the murder of a policemen. Almost 35 FIRs were registered against the suspects in various police stations across Punjab. Cherra Khal is a small bordering town 40 km South-West of Fort Munroe in DG Khan, it is a tribal area of Punjab, where the writ of the government and Law enforcement agencies is non-existent and wanted criminals had dug in and developed safe havens.
