DADU: The civil society leaders, social activists have shown deep concern over the drop of ratio from the schools in Dadu districts and they disclosed that 1,25,000 children from schools in the district on Friday. They demanded from Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to direct Sindh education department for taking action against drop of ratio of children from schools, closure of schools and ghost teachers in district. A meeting of civil society organizations, social activists were held at the office of child rights committee Dadu on Friday. During meeting Imran Korai said that 125000 students are out of school in Dadu and that is an alarming situation. Niaz Ahmed Chandio said that there were total 1966 schools in district. He said that 23 schools were being as Otaques and 40 were closed schools in the constituency of Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. He said that 293 school buildings were most sensitive out of 1966 schools in district. He said that 763 school buildings are able to repair they have worst condition and they can collapse at any time on the children. He said that 1137 schools have no facilities of water and power. He said that 679 school buildings are without walls and boundaries as result of which animals are roaming in these schools commonly. He said that 691 school buildings are without bathrooms and 843 schools are without playing grounds. He said that the ratio of out of school children are 125000 in district and it will cross if the measures will not be taken to enroll the children in the schools. Social activist Sadaqat Ali Soomro said that the district administration Dadu was apathy to take efforts to enroll the children in the schools. He said that corrupt officials were appointed on key posts of district administration those were not paying attention to improve education in Dadu district. They demanded from Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to take action against negligent and corrupt officials of district administration Dadu and education department Dadu for failing to improve education in district.
