Alhamra Cultural Complex’s Hall 1 and 2 were opened for literary and cultural activities on Tuesday after completion of the renovation work that continued for three months. Alhamra Arts Council Executive Director Captain (r) Atta Muhammad Khan inaugurated the halls while a number of showbiz personalities, artists and people from different walks of life attended the ceremony. On the occasion, Atta Muhammad Khan said that we have laid grounds of Alhamra on the state of the art technology. Both halls have now been made operational with the state of the art equipment which meets the global standards, he added. Deputy Director Alhamra Aftab Ahmed Ansari said that renovation of these halls according to the modern technology was important because it was constructed 30 years ago. He also said that the whole project of renovation of these halls has been successfully completed in the record timing of three months with an estimated cost of 30.25 million under the supervision of famous architect Nayyar Ali Dada, who was the official consultant of this project. He further informed that the complete interior including wooden floors of stages, chairs, carpets, curtains, paint and polish have been changed and the old sound system has been replaced with high-quality new sound system.
