QUETTA: Recently Iranian border forces fired mortar shells in Pakistan’s territory, in Balochistan province. Reports reveal that there were three shells fired in city of Panjgur, however no loss of life was reported. Pakistani security official said that the explosions created fear among people living in the vicinity. The border between Iran and Pakistan stretches to lengths 900-kilometer, both of the countries vowed to increased cross border intelligence coordination to improve security situation. Iran has violated border treaty several times and Pakistani counterparts have several times raised this issue in Joint Pakistan-Iran Border Session.
