KARACHI: Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) is organising Jubilee Insurance 2nd National Junior (U18) and 9th National Junior (U21) Snooker Championships from January 16 to 26th January at PSB Sports Complex in Islamabad.
The two tournaments separately offer a cash prize of Rs 130,000 each. Haris Tahir won the Under 18 event while Muhammad Saqib was the winner in the under 21 category in 2016.
The Player count in each tournament is 32 and the players will be separated into eight groups. Two participants will qualify for the Last-16 round from each group.
Winner of U-21 tournament will qualify and have the honour of representing Pakistan in the upcoming 18th Asian U-21 Snooker Championship 2017, to be held in India, and International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF) World U21 Snooker Championship 2017 to be held in China.
Meanwhile, the U18 event champion will qualify to represent Pakistan in the forthcoming IBSF World under 18 Snooker Championship 2017, to be held in China.
