Bahawalpur Regional Police Officer (RPO) Muhammad Faisal Rana on Monday inspected the under-construction Headquarter (HQ) site of the Dolphin Force and the Safe City Project in the Police Lines. Reportedly, District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Muhammad Iqbal accompanied him during his visit. The RPO asserted that the timely completion of these projects was essential to curb street crimes in the region. Later, they were briefed about progress of the construction work. He ordered officials to maintain high quality of work in the projects. Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation Saleem Niazi, SP Legal Branch Javed Iqbal Bajwa, building engineers and other officials were also present on the occasion. ACE to investigate ‘corruption’ in development projects in Bahawalpur Following the Anti-Corruption Establishment’s (ACE) suspicion of mega corruptions in various development projects, Bahawalpur ACE Director Imran Raza has issued stern directives to investigation teams to probe into use of substandard material and bogus payments of Rs 66 million in implanting turf tiles and construction of sewerage. Reportedly, teams will investigate alleged corruption into a turf tiles project worth Rs 36 million in Ahmadpur East area and a sewerage project worth Rs 30 million in Khairpur Tamewali area.
