PESHAWAR: The Education Minister Muhammad Atif Khan has asked the Water Sanitation Service (WSS) Mardan for effective measures to ensure cleanliness of the city and provision of pure drinking water to public.
Atif Khan visit Mardan to examined the new machinery purchased by the WSS Mardan for the cleaning of the city, on the occasion the chief of the WSS Nasir Ghafoor, district member Shahid Bacha and Naib Tehsil Nazim Mushtaq Shahbab were also present.
Atif Khan that the provincial government of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has taken revolutionary steps to make the cities of the province clean and healthy and provide pure water to public. He said that PTI has completely shuffled the old and traditional ways of governance in the province and its government trying to develop each and every city of the province par with modern world.
Nasir Ghafoor said that WSS department at Mardan collecting samples of waters at the district and will install new water pipes in the city with aim to possible the public access to pure and hygiene water for drinking.
He said that Tehsil Municipal Authority of the Mardan would collect around 40 tons of garbage’s out of 250 tons but presently the concern department collecting 80 tons.
Atif Khan said that its government would establish a water sports and water track park beside gymnasium and culture centers at Ring Road near Torro area of Mardan.
He said providing best opportunities for the recreational activates in the district was the aim of the provincial government as its second big city of the province and government want to invest funds for its development.
We have promised for change and good governance in the election and after serving four years we have abide by all promises in this regard, he maintained. Atif Khan claimed that on the basis of its performance PTI would get unprecedented mandate and another phase of development will begin if PTI come into power in the province for the second time.
