Muridke: A bakery and a hotel owner in Muridke have accused the municipal corporation of trying to seal their businesses ever since they voted against the PML-N-backed candidate in the recently held general elections. The municipal corporation has denied the allegations. The owner of Al Madinah Hotel and Qasim Bakery – Malik Sufyan and Malik Gulzar – alleged that their businesses had been raided several times after they cast their ballots in the favour of PTI-backed local leader Khurram Ijaz Chattha. Both of them claimed that the staff of the municipal corporation has also ignored the court notice obtained by them. They said that the municipal corporation wanted to seal their businesses even before the elections on the advice of the local PML-N leader. They urged government institutions and local influentials to take notice and find a solution so that their labour might not get unemployed. They also warned of blocking Grand Trunk Road in the first phase and a demonstration in front of the Chief Minister’s House in the next phase if they were not dispensed justice.
