Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited the famous religious educational institute Jamia Ashrafia and met Chief Administrator Hafiz Asad Obaid and Principal Jamia Ashrafia Maulana Fazal ur Rahim. Maulana Zubair Hassan, Maulana Ajwad Ubaid, Maulana Awais Hassan, Mufti Ahmad Ali, Maulana Hafiz Saad, Hafiz Abdul Rasheed, Qari Arshad Ubaid and other scholars and teachers were also present on this occasion.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman visited classrooms, library, computer lab, mosque and other departments of Jamia Ashrafia. Dr. Usman Anwar met the children, inquired about the educational activities. IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar said that thousands of children of different schools of thought are getting religious studies in Jamia Ashrafia, all the classrooms of this institute are equipped with modern facilities and monitored by CCTV cameras. IG Punjab said that the purpose of coming here is to project the real facts of religious schools to everyone, no child is being forcibly taught here, nor is anyone chained, children and young students are learning Quranic studies in the best environment and are learning religious teaching of Hadith and other religious subjects. IG Punjab said that some anti-social elements try to spread baseless news or videos and spread propaganda against religious schools, which should be eradicated by scholars as well as all schools of thought.
Chief Administer Hafiz Asad Obaid informed IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar about the facilities available in Jamia Ashrafiya and said that religious education is being given to children in Arabic, Persian, Chinese and English languages in Jamia Ashrafiya. Hafiz Asad Ubaid further said that Jamia Ashrafia’s website and toll-free number provide guidance on religious issues to Muslims around the world, more than 04 thousand students of Hadith, Barelvi, Deobandi and Shia schools of thought are studying in Jamia Ashrafia. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar also recorded a special message about the ongoing educational activities in Jamia Ashrafia. DIG Operations Lahore Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, DIG Elite Mansoor ul Haq, SSP Operations Lahore Ali Raza, SP Irtaza, SDPO Gulberg ASP Shaherbano Naqvi and other officers were also present.
Meanwhile, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has been ensuring regular measures for the health welfare of the police employees as well as their families, in this regard another nearly 09 lakh rupees were issued for the treatment of children of police employees.
According to the details, 03 lakh rupees were given to Traffic Warden Majid Ali for the treatment of his son Muhammad Khuzaima Majid. 2.5 lakh rupees were given to constable Muhammad Yaar Awan for the treatment of his daughter’s cancer.01 lakh and 40 thousand rupees were given to DG Khan Police Head Constable Ateeq ur Rahman for the treatment of his sons. Lahore Police’s gardener Liaqat Ali was given Rs 22 thousand rupees for speech and hearing treatment of his son. PHP Constable Imran Faiz was given 70 thousand rupees for treatment of his daughter whereas sweeper Sajjad Maseeh was given 22 thousand rupees for the hernia operation of his son.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed to continue the measures for the health welfare of the police force and said that the measures for the health welfare of the police force and their families should be accelerated with the income generated from the police welfare fund and welfare projects. IG Punjab said that RPOs, DPOs should send the cases related to the health welfare of subordinate employees to the Central Police Office with relevant documents.
