
Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Asim Munir has said that externally sponsored terrorism, propaganda campaigns and disinformation efforts cannot stop Pakistan’s long-term progress and national development.
During his visit to Quetta, Field Marshal Asim Munir addressed officers, faculty members and troops stationed in Balochistan, where he reviewed the security environment and discussed evolving defence challenges.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief first visited the Command and Staff College, where he praised the institution’s training standards, professionalism and intellectual development of military officers.

Addressing participants, Munir highlighted the rapidly changing nature of modern warfare and stressed the need for armed forces to remain prepared for emerging challenges.
He emphasised the importance of adapting to new technologies, multi-domain operations and stronger coordination among military services to address future battlefield requirements.
Munir urged officers to continue strengthening their professional skills and train troops to effectively respond to the changing character of warfare while maintaining operational readiness.
Later, while interacting with officers and troops deployed in Balochistan, the army chief reaffirmed the armed forces’ commitment to eliminating terrorism across Pakistan with the support of the public.
He said hostile elements using proxies, misinformation and terrorism to destabilise the country would ultimately fail due to the resilience of state institutions and national unity.
The field marshal also linked long-term peace and stability in Balochistan to inclusive governance, sustainable development and public welfare initiatives alongside security operations.

He noted that durable peace in the province depends on a people-centred approach that addresses socio-economic challenges while strengthening trust between citizens and state institutions.
Munir appreciated the efforts of the Government of Balochistan in promoting welfare programmes, development projects and improved public engagement in the province.
He also commended the morale, professionalism and preparedness of officers and troops serving in Balochistan for their role in maintaining peace, stability and state authority. Upon arrival in Quetta, the army chief was received by the Quetta Corps commander.
