ISLAMABAD: The Government has prepared plan-“B” to deal with the expected protest sit-ins, as announced by two opposition parties including Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT). The Government is afraid of the differences within the rank and files of PML (N) and it is likely that if the opposition’s protest on Panama Leaks would grow longer, then another faction may be surfaced in the ruling party, which could be dangerous for the government. According to plan “B” the government is mulling over in-house change along with many other options. In case if government would be compelled to do any in house change, the former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab could be given the slot of Prime Minister. The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif thinks that premier from small province could not only be helpful in removing the complex of inferiority of small provinces but also be conductive in neutralizing the increasing power of PTI in KP, which would also break the clout of the protest. If any in house change would be carried out, the government would take the PPP leadership into confidence that they should back the government once again for saving democracy in the country.
