Prime Minister Imran Khan Thursday ordered an immediate inquiry into Tezgam tragedy in which 75 people were killed and several others injured. The prime minister took to Twitter expressing his deep sense of sadness over the incident and informed that an urgent inquiry report has been sought by him over the matter. “Deeply saddened by the terrible tragedy of the Tezgam train. My condolences go to the victims’ families & prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured. I have ordered an immediate inquiry to be completed on an urgent basis.” Earlier in the day, the prime minister also offered his condolences to the families whose loved ones died or were injured in the incident. Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan also expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the Tezgam Express train accident. She condoled with the bereaved families.
