KARACHI: Higher Education Commission (HEC) has enforced a ban on admissions in two universities of Karachi. According to HEC website the HEC has imposed a ban of entrance at Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education and Sindh Institute of Management And Technology. Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes which was founded in the year 2000. According to details Ilma University previously known as Institute of Business and Technology has been imposed with a conditional ban which was founded in 2001 in the private division by the GEC (Global Education Consultant Society). The ban was imposed due to irregularities in the academic activities, mismanagement and setting up of illegal campuses. HEC has warned students that the degrees of the above mentioned universities will not be accepted.
