LAHORE: Afghanistan’s Deputy Governor of Kunar province, Muhammad Nabi Ahmadi was abducted from Peshawar on Friday, an Afghan diplomat confirmed the abduction on Saturday. According to Afghan Counsel General Moin Mrastyal, Ahmadi suffered a health issue and had come to Peshawar for medical treatment. He was en-route to the doctor for check-up when he was abducted from Peshawar’s Dabgar area, the diplomat said. An Afghan news channel aired the news and reported his abduction. However, Mrastyal said the family of Ahmadi had approached him for the recovery of him. On the other hand, the Pakistani security forces were of the view that they have no information regarding the abduction.
