ISLAMABAD: Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Member Mufti Ali Asghar Tuesday said there were some myths about fast in the public which needed to be addressed on priority. He said in the light of Shariah and Sunnah, fast could not be affected by involuntarily vomiting, swallowing spit, nocturnal emission, using hair oil, wearing Surma, removing unnecessary hair under navel and armpit, not taking meal at Sehr time, taking obligatory bath in fast, cleaning teeth with Miswak or toothpaste, bleeding in case of injury, getting blood test, injection, and drip in vein or muscle and applying perfume etcetera. He said due to lack of adequate knowledge, a number of people were confused about many things discussed above. He said instead of sharing such issues with the common people, they should bring them in the notice of religious scholars for their proper remedy. He said there were many things yet to be highlighted publicly for clarity about dos and don’ts during the fast. He said people should be in contact with Ulema and Mashaikh to seek true guidelines about religious complications.
