Host and comedian Kapil Sharma expressed deep grief over the sad demise of Amanullah Khan and termed him as a legend. Kapil Sharma said Amanullah Khan was not only a great artiest, he was a legend with a big heart who gave opportunity to many artists to fulfil their dreams. “Nobody can fill Amanullah Khan’s place ever and we will miss him,” he said while praying for the departed soul. Sharma had earlier stated that Amanullah Khan was his favourite comedian from Pakistan. Johnny Lever also expressed sorrow over the demise of the Pakistani legend and termed him as a great stand-up comedian. The veteran artist said both of them were in contact with each other via phone. It is pertinent here to mention that Amanullah Khan had passed away at the age of 70 on Friday. He was suffering from lungs, kidneys and breathing problems and had been admitted to a private hospital in critical condition. Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi expressed grief over the demise of the comedian and prayed for the peace of the departed soul. “Late Amanullah was a valuable asset for the stage, comedy and drama industry,” the prime minister stated. Famous artist Sohail Ahmad also extended condolences to the bereaved family. Born in 1950, Amanullah is regarded as one of the best television stand-up comedians. He has a world record of 860-day night theatre plays and also received Pride of Performance award.
