LAHORE: Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, reached Washington DC on Saturday night for a day-long stay before leaving for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session at its New York headquarters. Qureshi will stay in DC for 24 hours and is scheduled to visit Pakistan’s Embassy in Washington where he would be meeting members of the business community as well as the journalists. Qureshi is heading the Pakistani delegation for the session. Moreover, during his official visit to the US, Qureshi is also expected to visit his American counterpart, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. The Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua is also a part of the Pakistani delegation who is on in a week-long visit to the United Nations’ headquarter in New York. FM Qureshi is expected to present Pakistan’s stance on the Kashmir issue at the UN General Assembly session. The minister will meet his counterparts at the session and hold talks with the US administration.
