In a rare development, 12 female candidates out of total 28 from Sindh have grabbed the top slots in CSS 2017 result. The federal Public Service commission has announced the final result of the Central Superior Service(CSS) according to which female candidates from Sindh appeared to be on top positions. The FPSC conducts the CSS exam every year for the appointment of candidates in the country’s bureaucracy. A total number of 9391 candidates appeared in the exam in February 2017, out of which only 312 candidates could make their way to the interview and psychological assessment. According to the result, 310 candidates qualified the CSS but the commission recommended only 261 candidates for the appointment. Interestingly, 12 female candidates out of 28 from Sindh qualified the exam. The country’s region where literacy rate and gender parity are unsatisfactory, female candidates of surmounted country’s highest competitive exam setting a remarkable precedent. Successful female candidates from Sindh Alina Rajpar and Maria Mustafa have been allocated ranks in Police Service of Pakistan (PSP). Zara Zahid , Fatima Saima, Shaida Parveen, Sherina Junejo and Qandeel Fatima Memon have been appointed in the Pakistan Administrative Sevice (PAS). Moreover, Sameeah has been appointed in Foreign Service of Pakistan (FSP). While Hijab Zuhra and Mahek Majid allocated position in Pakistan Custom Service (PCS). Khadija Shakeel, Paras Akhtia and Minza Raza will serve the Inland and Revenue Service (IRS).
