ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has constituted six benches of the Supreme Court to hear hundreds of cases of various natures, including violations of human rights, during this week. According to weekly cause-list, Bench-1 comprises CJP Saqib Nisar, Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Ijazul Ahsan. Bench-II consists of Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah. Bench-III comprises Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Maqbool Baqar. Bench-IV consists of Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Qazi Faez Isa. Bench-V comprises Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah. Bench-VI comprises Justice Mushir Alam and Justice Sardar Tariq Masood. According to the cause list, no application for adjournment through fax or email will be placed before the court. Besides, if any counsel is unable to appear for any reason, the advocate-on-record will be required to argue the case. Published in Daily Times, April 23rd 2018.
