Pakistan at UN strongly rejected India’s false claims about Jammu and Kashmir. At the UN’s Fourth Committee meeting, Pakistan’s envoy Asif Khan accused India of spreading lies to hide its occupation and human rights abuses. He said India’s repeated attempts to mislead the world had failed. Khan stressed that Jammu and Kashmir remains a disputed territory, not an integral part of India, and its future must be decided through a UN-supervised plebiscite.
Khan reminded the world that India itself brought the issue to the UN but now refuses to respect its commitments. He said the UN has both the right and duty to discuss Kashmir. Referring to international law, he said all people under foreign control have the right to self-determination. He noted that India’s actions clearly violate these principles and the UN Charter.

The Pakistani envoy highlighted India’s heavy militarization in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, with nearly 900,000 troops deployed against civilians. He accused India of calling the Kashmiri struggle for freedom “terrorism” while ignoring its own abuses. Khan listed extrajudicial killings, mass arrests, sexual violence, and demographic changes as part of India’s systematic oppression. He said India’s moves since August 2019 violate the Fourth Geneva Convention.
He also accused India of sponsoring terrorism in the region by funding groups like TTP and BLA to destabilize Pakistan. Khan said India’s image as the “world’s largest democracy” is false, as it has become “the largest producer of disinformation and intolerance.” He added that the RSS-BJP ideology promotes Islamophobia and targets minorities, drawing concern from global human rights groups.

Khan warned that India’s aggression threatens regional peace and stability. He said Pakistan at UN will continue exposing India’s state terrorism and defending Kashmiri rights. He emphasized that Kashmir remains a disputed territory, and its people deserve justice and freedom. Despite India’s denials, Pakistan at UN vowed to keep supporting the Kashmiri struggle until their right to self-determination is achieved.
