The Maas Foundation, in collaboration with the Lahore Arts Council (Alhamra), under the auspices of the Punjab Government, proudly announces the Punjab Maas International Theatre Festival, a six-day cultural celebration scheduled to take place from October 10 to 15, 2025.
The festival, to be staged at Alhamra Arts Center, the Mall, will gather artists and theatre troupes from seven countries, alongside Pakistan, featuring more than 45 international performers in a rare confluence of creative expression and cultural dialogue.
An important preparatory meeting, chaired by Executive Director Alhamra Mahboob Alam, was held to finalize arrangements. The session brought together key stakeholders, including Mr. Rizwan Ashraf and Mr. Amir Nawaz, with detailed deliberations on programming, logistics, and audience engagement. The discussions underscored Punjab’s resolve to project its rich cultural heritage globally through innovative theatrical exchanges.
The festival will feature an eclectic line-up of performances, workshops, and cultural showcases, offering audiences not only thought-provoking plays but also panel discussions, open-mic sessions, Food, and handicraft stalls that highlight Punjab’s celebrated hospitality and artistic diversity. It promises to be more than an artistic event-rather, a vibrant cultural fair where dialogue, performance, and tradition merge to inspire both local and international audiences.

The Punjab Maas International Theatre Festival embodies our vision of cultural diplomacy, bringing diverse voices together on one stage to celebrate art, society and the human spirit. We are determined to make this festival a landmark event in Pakistan’s cultural journey.”
