Muslim nations back Trump’s Gaza peace initiative

Published on: September 30, 2025 3:23 PM

Muslim countries, including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Türkiye, Indonesia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, have welcomed US President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan, expressing confidence in his leadership to end the ongoing war. The foreign ministers from these nations highlighted their support through a joint statement, stressing that the United States remains an essential partner in restoring stability to the Middle East.

In their declaration, the ministers praised President Trump’s pledge to prevent the annexation of the West Bank and his proposal aimed at rebuilding Gaza while ensuring Palestinians are not displaced. They underscored that this commitment creates a pathway for long-term stability in the region, aligning with the aspirations of the Palestinian people. The announcement was widely regarded as a significant step toward ending the cycle of violence.

The ministers further emphasized their readiness to engage constructively with the United States and all relevant stakeholders to finalize and implement a comprehensive peace agreement. They highlighted that the envisioned deal must guarantee security, peace, and stability for both Palestinians and Israelis. Additionally, they viewed such cooperation as essential in preventing further escalation and ensuring durable solutions to long-standing issues.

Moreover, the leaders reiterated the importance of unrestricted humanitarian aid reaching Gaza, affirming that food, medicine, and essential supplies must flow without obstacles. They also demanded the release of hostages, full Israeli withdrawal, and the establishment of a security mechanism that assures protection for all sides. These steps, they insisted, would help restore dignity to Palestinians while addressing security concerns in the wider region.

The joint statement also reaffirmed the ministers’ shared vision for a two-state solution under international law, with Gaza integrated with the West Bank into a sovereign Palestinian state. They described this as the key to achieving permanent peace, regional stability, and security. By stressing justice, equality, and mutual recognition, the ministers believe the proposed framework can bring an end to decades of suffering.

Building on these commitments, Muslim nations vowed to work closely with Washington and international partners to transform promises into reality. Their endorsement of President Trump’s efforts reflects both optimism and urgency, as the world looks toward a deal that ensures peace, reconstruction, and a future where Palestinians and Israelis coexist in harmony.
