Accept peace or face war: Netanyahu’s stark warning to Hamas

Published on: September 30, 2025 3:01 PM

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a strong warning to Hamas. He said Israel will “complete its mission” if Hamas rejects a new Gaza ceasefire plan. The plan was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump during a press conference. Standing beside Netanyahu at the White House, Trump described the moment as historic. He claimed the plan brings the Middle East closer to lasting peace and stability.

The proposed agreement focuses on ending the Gaza war and rebuilding the region. It includes the reconstruction of Gaza and stopping forced displacement of Palestinians. It also blocks any Israeli annexation of the West Bank. According to Netanyahu, the plan aligns with Israel’s long-term security goals. He said it will ensure Gaza never threatens Israel again. However, Hamas has not yet responded to the proposal.

President Trump added that the plan has wide support from Arab and Muslim leaders. He named the presidents of Turkey and Indonesia among the supporters. He also said the Prime Minister of Pakistan and several Gulf leaders backed the idea. Trump stated that if Hamas rejects the deal, Israel will have full American support to eliminate the group. This statement signals strong U.S. backing for any future Israeli actions in Gaza.

Many Muslim-majority countries have officially welcomed the ceasefire proposal. Nations like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, and the UAE released a joint statement. They praised efforts to rebuild Gaza and protect Palestinian rights. The statement also welcomed the promise to prevent further annexation in the West Bank. These countries urged all sides to push forward with the peace process.

Now, the focus shifts to Hamas and its final decision. If Hamas agrees, there is hope for peace and stability in the region. If it rejects the offer, the conflict may escalate quickly. Netanyahu’s warning and Trump’s firm stance leave little room for compromise. The world watches closely as another critical moment unfolds in the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
