KARACHI: Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman has been appointed as Goodwill Ambassador by Islamic Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization, (ISESCO, Morocco). The spokesperson of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi (KU) has said that other goodwill ambassadors previously appointed by ISESCO include former Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohammed, President of Arab Thought Forum, Prince El Hasan Bin Talal, former Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zlatko Lagumdzija and former Director General of UNESCO Amadou Mahtar M’Bow. Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman is the Chairman of UN Committee on Science Technology and Innovation for the UNESCAP region covering 56 countries including USA, UK, Germany, Japan, Australia and most of the OIC member states. Prof. Atta is one of the most decorated scientists of Pakistan having won four national civil awards.
