ASTANA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had a meeting with his Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the conference hall on the occasion of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Kazakhstan’s capital Astana. Both the prime ministers greeted each other and had talks in pleasant atmosphere, enquiring about health of each other as well. A private TV reported on Friday. This was the first time when the two prime ministers have spoken to each other in person after December 2015 when Modi made a surprise visit to Lahore to attend Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s grand-daughter’s wedding. Nawaz and Modi had also spoken before the former’s open-heart surgery in May 2016. The two prime ministers are in Astana to attend the SCO Summit where Pakistan and India will be inducted as full members of the bloc.
