The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has decided to immediately initiate preparations for Hajj 2027 in accordance with Saudi directives, hinting at launching the mandatory registration process within the ongoing month. Talking to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) in Madinah, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Umar Butt, disclosed that possessing a valid Pakistani passport is a prerequisite for Hajj 2027 registration. He emphasized that the validity of the aspirants’ passports must extend at least until November 16, 2027. He urged all intending pilgrims to get their Pakistani passports issued or renewed as early as possible to avoid any last-minute inconvenience. The spokesperson further explained that individuals who complete this mandatory registration process will retain the absolute right to choose between the Government or Private Hajj Scheme according to their preference at a later stage.Umar Butt clarified that this pre-registration is not limited to citizens residing within Pakistan but is equally mandatory for overseas Pakistani pilgrims planning to perform Hajj.”The comprehensive details regarding the total expenses of the Hajj package, final terms and conditions, and other logistical arrangements will be released later in accordance with the upcoming official Hajj Policy,” the spokesperson concluded.
