ISLAMABAD: The legal fraternity has raised its voice against the case registered against senior PPP leader and former Chairman Senate Nayyer Hussain Bukhari and announced if deemed necessary they would not refrain from coming on the roads. While talking to Daily Times President Supreme Court Bar Association Barrister Ali Zafar has condemned the registration of case against senior lawyer and termed it regretful act. He said that Supreme Court Bar is taking review of the matter and if any injustice done to him, the lawyers would come out on the roads. He said that apparently the matter seems a conflict between police official and security guard of Bukhari. It should be investigated that without considering the matter FIR was registered in hurry. Islamabad High Court Bar Association President Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri told Daily Times the issue between police official and Nayyer Bukhari was finished when Bukhari and senior lawyers sought the apology in front of judge, but to give political touch, the case was registered against him in haste. “Islamabad High Court Bar would never tolerate the misbehaviour of police with the lawyers”, he said, adding that the government did not like the excuse of Bukhari so the case was registered against him with some malicious intentions, which might be to harm his political career. The President of Islamabad Bar Association Syed Muhammad Tayyab said that Bukhari is the senior most lawyer and veteran parliamentarian and he tendered apology to concerned police official in front of Judge , after that the bar had resolved the matter amicably. He said that the registration of the case against senior lawyer in alacrity is out of senses. He said that the legal fraternity is standing shoulder to shoulder with Nayyer Bukhari.
