ISLAMABAD: The State Minister of Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has sent three top-most bureaucrats including Chairman CDA and Principals of two colleges on forced leave while forth one is ready to go on leave. While on other hand, the credibility of Federal Government Services Hospital (Poly Clinic Hospital) and Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has been damaged to the mindboggling level owing to appointments of some blue eyed persons and postings made by State Minister CADD on political recommendations in a short span of time. He sent off all four high officials home on disobeying his illicit orders, while Secretary CADD who has been fed up by accommodating the people in different capacities from NA-49, the constituency of Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, is going to take leave of three months. First of all State Minister appointed Dr Amjad Poomi as Executive Director of Poly Clinic, who is notorious for corruption, mishandling the lower staff and sexual harassment to women staffers. Several cases were also registered against him in different police stations of the city. Then he made one of his favourite Dr Durdana on the important post of Medico legal officer at Poly Clinic Hospital. Dr Durdana was removed on the orders of Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani from the slot of Incharge Parliament House Dispensary on the charges of corruption and misappropriation in the purchase of medicines. These appointments have also raised questions on the performance of Minister of State for CADD. There are several cases came to surface in which his favourite persons or close relatives quarrelled physically with the government servants in different offices for not fulfilling their unjust demands, since Tariq Fazal assumed the charge. It is worth mentioning here that National Assembly’s Standing Committee for Cabinet Division on Thursday also showed its resentment over the forced leave of officers, undue interference by CADD’s minister and getting school admissions on political recommendations. The committee members said that the education and health are the basic rights of the people and no one can be allowed to deprive of the masses from these fundamental amenities. When Daily Times contacted Asad Umar, MNA from Islamabad he said that many Principals of Model Schools were transferred on Tariq Fazal’s orders as they did not give admissions to the children on his recommendations. Asad was of the view that forced leave of the officers is quite strange matter, which has not any precedent in the past. He said he (Asad) convinced the daily wages employees of CDA to finish their sit-in, though it was the responsibility of the government. Actually Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry does not want to regular their services. “State Minister should work within the legal framework as he is losing his integrity because of his too much intervention in the state affairs and it might be possible that his party may take action against him.
