A significant number of the cyclonic storms produced in the Arabian Sea move towards North and Northeast and some of them hit Pakistan Coast, resulting in huge losses to life and property in the coastal areas. Indus Deltaic Creeks are critically located on the path of cyclones of the Arabian Sea. The winds and low pressure creates storm surges which when combined with high tides, can create destruction in the coastal areas. The effects of SLR do not stop at the prompt drift.
