LAHORE: Among all the famous models and names of industry, Rachel Gill is one of those prominent faces who have been living their dream lives with a host of acting roles to the high-fashion runways. Attractive facial features, ideal height and figure are all bonus to the personality of this emerging talent who has also been nominated amongst Pakistan’s best fashion talents at LUX Style Awards (LSA). Rachel has recently returned from her first Euro fashion trip, during which she made her international debut in Berlin where biggest designers of our fashion industry showcased their work. She did an exclusive photo-shoot for Fahad Hussayn’s new collection. The model has enjoyed her experience at the capital of Germany and she is honored to be a part of this show. “My trip to Berlin went very well because our show went amazing and we had so much fun exploring the beautiful place. German people loved our performance and they were excited and surprised to know that Pakistan has high fashion sense”, Rachel told Daily Times. Rachel is in high spirits to know that she was a part of a fashion campaign through which a softer and real image of Pakistan and its people has been shown to Germany. She told, “For German people, Pakistan was only terrorism and burkhas until we showed the real image including high-end fashion and our soft nature. It will prove to be very beneficial for our fashion industry to be recognized internationally in a positive way”. The model has recently completed shooting two movies and one of them named ‘Saaya-e-khudaya Zuljalaal’ will be released first in upcoming months. Rachel is very caught up these days because he is working on making her own production house and she has not revealed the name yet. Despite of her busy schedule and shootings, she is planning for a family trip to Berlin following year which shows how well-organised and responsible she is as a person. When asked about how different production houses of Pakistan’s fashion and media industry are working, she said that we still need to improve and work so hard on producing real content like ‘Udaari’. She said that all other fake banners that launch wannabes like Qandeel Baloch are also wannabes and if this will keep on happening then our industry will face a huge downfall which is very unhygienic for our industry’s health. Rachel pronounced all the people who support cheap content as rubbish and she told Daily Times that, “Content like Qandeel is working on cannot be considered talent or art, it is rubbish and Qandeel herself is rubbish. She is just seeking attention through all these cheap ways”.
