Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf has claimed another electoral victory as PTI candidate Zeeshan Khanzada has won by-election on the vacant seat of senate from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to unofficial results, he secured one hundred and four votes. His rival Farzand Ali Khan of Pakistan Peoples Party got thirty-one votes. The seat fell vacant after the resignation of Khanzada Khan of Pakistan Peoples Party. Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Sultan Mahmood on Sunday (Nov 24) defeated Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Sohaib Saeed and registered victory in Mirpur LA-3 by-polls. As per unofficial results, Sultan amassed 18079 votes whereas his main opponent, Sohaib Saeed secure only 13,780 votes. One hundred and nineteen polling stations were set up out of which sixty-one had been declared sensitive. As many as two thousand and seven hundred police personnel were deployed to avoid any untoward situation.
