PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Ministers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) unconstitutionally holding offices in the provincial party cabinets and influencing cabinet’s organizing process and fleecing the right of devoted workers. Speaking to Daily Times, Zafarullah Khattak, who was the first president of PTI in Peshawar, said that movement across the province has been launched to provide a proper platform to party workers and unite them against irregularities in the party cabinet’s organization. It is unlawful for a provincial minister to hold office in the government and party cabinet but in case of PTI all of regional presidents and general secretaries enjoying both offices and have sidelined the workers he added. He said the under 17th amendment of Constitution, PTI was legally bound to hold the intra-party elections but unfortunately it delayed time and again on the behest of the PTI ministers. “The devoted workers of the PTI joining other political parties due to ignorance of the ministers who allegedly giving more space to their near and dears in the organization structure while forming cabinets structure in the province,” he maintained. Dr Inayatullah Chamkani former senior vice president of Peshawar region lashed out at current fragile situation of the party and massive nepotism attitude in the party provincial organization. He said that a systematic and comprehensive campaign incorporating all PTI ideological workers and leaders have been launched to press their demands of intra party election in the province. He claimed beside the KP the workers of PTI from Punjab, Sindh and Baluchistan have also contacted them and had appreciated the formation of a platform to the workers and demand of intra-party election. PTI will suffer a great set back in coming general election if party chairman did not reforms the party organization and delayed further intra party election as workers losing its interest and confidence over the party, he added. Former General Secretary of PTI for KP Dr Hafiz who was most vocal for the intra party elections in the province told this scribe that restructuring and reorganizing process requires political wit and workers unity all regional presidents were deprived of it. “Currently PTI Government was ruling in the province but party has no organization and structure in the province because ministers running the affair of the party cabinet and workers have been sidelined,” he added.
