The Indian cricket board (BCCI) has ruled that the wives and family of the players can only join them later in England after the 21 days of World Cup. Anushka wife of the Indian cricketer Virat Kohli would have to skip the match on June 16 at the Old Trafford in Manchester.
Wives and members of the family will be allowed to stay in England for 15 days. India has been ranked second in the ODI format of the game-winning the tournament in 1983 and 2011. They will play their first match against South Africa on June 5.
