MANSEHRA: Federal Minster for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Mohammad Yousuf has said that Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) would address the chronic water scarcity issue in Mansehra city. “JICA will start work on a water supply scheme with initial amount of Rs 5 billion and an agreement in this regard has been signed,” Sardar Yousuf told a gathering here on Monday. The Federal Minister said that people of Mansehra city and its suburbs had been facing shortage of hygienic water since long but very soon that issue would be addressed. He said that work on Havalian Chaterplan section of Motorway being built under multimillion China Pakistan Economic corridors was well in progress and on completion that project would bring revolutionary changes in the lives of local people too. “Work on Havalian-Chaterplan motorway project is well in progress and would be completed before end of 2018 ,” said Sardar Yousuf. He said that federal government had been working to put Mansehra on way to real development and prosperity and it was why launched mega projects here. The Minister said that Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif had released an amount of Rs 200 million for acquisition of land for graveyards in Mansehra city.
