ISLAMABAD: All the three accused arrested in the case of seizure of 40,000 bottles of liquor by Shalimar Police have been released on bail. On the other hand, legal proceedings against the notorious liquor dealers from Malik Brothery involved in this case have been put in cold storage. Shalimar Police conducted a major operation on the eve of new year’s night in the last month of 2016 on the hideout of Malik Amir who is the ring leader of Malik brothery, seized 40000 liquor bottles stocked for new year’s night and sent them to the police station. Police employees including Abdul Aziz, Imran Yunus and Shabbir were also arrested in this operation. Police started paper proceedings against Malik Amir and declared the influential innocent. The case came up for hearing before judicial magistrate Raja Waqas. The accused had filed their bail pleas. Imran Feroze counsel for the accused appeared in the court and told his clients were having a licence for stocking liquor while they had paid all the taxes including customs duty. The court accepted the bail plea of all the three accused against surety bonds of Rs 100000 each after hearing the arguments. The accused include Abdul Aziz, Imran Younus and Shabbir.
