Sir: Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan with 50-Union Councils. Bara Kahu is one of the biggest Union Council known as Kot Hathiyal. This has been further divided in Bhera Syedan, Nain Sukh, Madina Town, Muhallah Ghousia, Dhok Jillani, Muhallah Malikabad, Muhallah Dhok Syedan, etc. According to Pakistan Bureau Statistic report of 2018, more than 119,034 peoples are residing in Bhara Kahu. A place of amalgamated culture, where the people of Murree, Kashmir, Chitral, KP, Sindh, Balochistan and Hazara are residing in huge numbers. Apart from these masses, there are a number of minority dwellings. Because of the mixed culture and cheap rates in terms of utilities, it is deemed favourable when locating offices or schools etc. The Quaid-e-Azam University one of the top universities in Pakistan is situated a mere ten minutes walking distance from Athaal Chowk and the total distance between Prime Minister Secretariat Islamabad and Bara Kahu is 12.3 km. Now coming to the point, despite the favourable factors, the conditions of roads are presenting a picture synonymous to those presented by old relics in the 500 BC. The antiquate drainage system almost always results in a land of dancing pools in the roads every rainfall, This is true for especially Kiyani Road stretching all the way till Quaid-e-Azam University. The garbage in the middle of the road, is a major hindrance for pedestrians and contributes to the already existing traffic problem — navigating around heaps of rubbish is no easy feat! Although, the Union Council Five is constituency of Prime Minister Imran Khan who won the election of 2018 by a big margin. My question hence to Mr. Khan is whether despite winning the 2018 election in Union Council 5, have he ever visited to the location? With apologies, if he has not visited, then ask your loyal ministers, who won the contest in previous election 2018 from NA-53 (Islamabad-II) to do so, in order to solve the problems of this deprived region.
