ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission Pakistan (ECP) has issued a notice to Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on a contempt petition, asking him to file a reply by 21 February 2017. According to details, the ECP on Monday heard a case of embezzlement in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party funds. A five member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan heard the case. The Election Commission issued a notice to Imran Khan on the contempt petition asking him to file his reply by the 21st of next month. On Monday, neither did the PTI’s counsel appear before the ECP nor did he submit a response in the case. Imran Khan said that he had neither tendered an apology over his remarks nor would he do so. The counsel presented Imran Khan’s interview to a private TV channel and his tweet in the commission.
